The problem is we are currently 17th, If we hire someone say Marcelino for example and it goes extremely pear shaped it will set this club years and years back, If someone say Moyes came in he would work with what he's got no transfers in Jan apart from a CB on loan maybe, His task is getting us high up the table and possible, Brands and co have time to plan and look and who they want as the future manager in the summer and we wave bye to Moyes on the final day of the season.
Leicester are different they were in the top half of the table when Puel got sacked iirc so Rodgers had some breathing room, To try and appoint a manager that the fans and the board to lead us for many years to come at this stage of the season is such a risk.

Nah not even the current fella would get us relegated and we are playing absolutely garbage.

A manager as good as a Marcelino/Mancini/Ten Hag etc would easily see us stay up even if they ended up turning out as bad as Voldermort.

Fortunately our home form ensures we nick enough wins like WHU to keep us afloat.

Dont know he's already hinted he would leave if a Prem club came calling.

All in all not one of us on here knows who we could or couldn't attract apart from Pep or Klopp so its a moot debate really.

Essentially we are 16th but 3 points off 7th and a squad easily good enough to compete for Europe - any perspective manager will know that they aint going into a car crash full of championship quality players massively cut adrift of safety.

Marcelino looks to have good pedigree and can't manage in Spain again this season.

I imagine he would be very much in the mix particularly as we would need a quick appointment.

We could do much worse than someone with his comparative record at Villarreal and Valencia.

Given the list of possibles he would be up there with the better options.

The foundations are there and probably need a couple of tweeks like a CB and a proven striker that our young strikers can learn from and I do genuinely think we can go places.

Mate, Im with you in thinking Silva is a terrible manager but that Voldemort..? Just really not working. Marco Martinez or Roberto Silva works a lot better.

Now the longer we leave sacking Voldermort the more likely free agents like Marcelino and Allegri will be snapped up like Garcia.

We have to act fast if we want to approach a good manager as timing is everything - look at RS with Klopp - they likely wouldnt have got him whilst he was in a job.

Yeah couldn’t agree more. With the likes of Man U and spurs they may need managers soon so we need to act.
