Even if it’s till the end of the season it does make sense.

he knows the club inside out and will no doubt be happy to work with brands because 1 he gets back into a club he did so well with and 2 if it goes belly’s you he has someone else to point the finger at
I think they'd go for Moyes before Howe or Arteta imo

They went for Allardyce though so I think even my mum would be in with a shout of getting the job
That was before brands was in the job though. No way he would have appointed sam or I cant see him been happy appointing moyes either.

Well he's overseen Silva who has been absolutely crap for the best part of 18 months so who knows what Brands thinks.

Let's hope Silva goes on a winning run though mate cos let's be honest it sure beats having to sack another failure and start again

We are not in desperation mode yet. 25 or 26 points from the remaining 28 games will keep us up if that is the sole aim.
I dont think brands would have moyes either.
And if it is a done deal why are they waiting.

Its an easy job for somebody, we saw when Big Sam came in, its not a hard job getting this group of players to 7th or 8th.

So no we arent desperate, its not an appointment based on desperation, it would be 1 of convenience.

We need a manager, hes got experience and hes available, very willing to hear other alternatives.
You know what ll happen don't ya, we'll get to the semi/final of the cup/league form worse/Silva sacked/Moyes in/lose semi final/final of cup/finish 10th lol

In all seriousness though, they know Moyes will come in, drill them, get a tune out of them after ANOTHER wasted season and we finish mid tabke and like you said earlier, try and go for someone better then (unless Moyes wins 2 cups, we finish 4th and they give him a 10 year contract)

It just makes loads of sense to me, sadly.

I mean im not saying im dancing from the rooftops, but a lot like the Sam appointment, needs must.

In an ideal world Silva does enough and we have somebody much, much better lined up in the summer.

They are loads of alternatives . Plenty managers out of work and others who would come here.
If brands has any say In the appointment o cant see him appointing a manager who has been sacked by man united, sociedad, Sunderland and not kept on by west ham .

I just think some people need a little realism here.

Heres my list :

Simeone
Jose
Allegri

Give me any of them, would even take the boy from Ajax, but heres where realism happens, none of them are coming here, the 2 fellas out of work can just wait for a better job and Diego and Erik aint leaving teams challenging for the title and playing in the CL to fight for 16th with a club that hasnt won a pot in 24 years.

Struggling to think the last time a manager left another job to join a team "below" the 1 they already work for. Honestly struggling to even remember any manager leaving a team to join another 1 midseason either.

As I say mate, im happy to hear the alternatives, I really would love nothing more than to be wrong about this.

And I think you need to have a little look at the managers Brands has hired in the past, Moyes isnt out of the realms of reality.

I would of been dead against Moyes coming back a year or so ago, but right now i couldn't care less, maybe he'll do well which is all I want, I think he'll do well for the rest of the season

People don’t like reality mate they like to dream about managers and players a club like ours can’t attract right now it’s the only thing that keeps them going.

I know mate, it hurts me, it really does, having to dismiss all these wonderful managers, knowing that they will never come here.

I suppose people just think I lack ambition or that im clueless, I dunno, anything to hide from the truth.

A few years back when Esk suggested Jose was interested, I was sold, I was dreaming with the rest, but its just not happening, for many, many reasons.

Ive said it before, the 2 "best" managers, the 2 managers with the highest trophy count that we have ever hired in our entire history are Walter Smith and Ronald Koeman, thats the scope of our reach, in our whole 141 year history, but people still think Diego or Jose is gonna rock up here on their 41m pound a year wages.

Mourinho and allegri wont come .
3 out of work are marcellino, blanc and Wenger . Would they come I dont know. But they are better options.
If moyes had not managed us before he would nor even be considered. It would be like goin for chris Hughton or mark Hughes.
