Would Marcelino be considered too much of a risk? He utterly crapped the bed at Sevilla, no Premier League experience, does that strike you as the right man to appoint when your 16th?
Blanc for some reason just doesnt take jobs, maybe that would change, I think Wengers enjoying his retirement.

But these are good, achievable names, so well done.

He's been pretty darn good everywhere else. Wouldn't be my choice, but his only issues to me were his recruitment, which seems overrated. Pretty defensive, but any manager that inherits our midfield is going to be limited. Plays two strikers, tho.

He had one bad stint at Watford. But it is Watford. Hull would've kept him. His Olympiakos team was really good record-wise, did well at Sporting, and was a miracle worker at Sporting.

If you look closely at the spending, we arent MUCH different to the rest of the league.

We had a windfall, when we spent more than most, but we wasted it sadly, now we are just as you say a middle of the pack team.

I think the problem with both is why would they want to come here? Rafael is the more likely of the 2, but Mourinho is such a pipe dream (or nightmare) I get a kick out of it every time he gets brought up. He's big club or no club at all IMO
