Steady on mate, he’s an ex-red. But certainly better than what we have, in any case. Always been a talented midfielder, really shone for Newcastle over the last 12 months under Benitez and Bruce.

England aren’t exactly blessed with quality central midfielders, I think he could yet get a recall.

Perhaps if Benitez comes, it could be in the offing.
