I couldnt care less what he is called. If he shows in the next few matches that he can get that blood out of them, he will do for me.
My biggest problem with having Dunc come in and take the job permanently, is he was genuinely my idol as a kid, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I’d hate him to see him fail and sour any feelings towards him.

It happened with Unsworth, and it’s happening with Poch at United.

I know it could go the other way and he could become a hero to a whole new generation of blues, but I wouldn’t trust this current Everton outfit too much with that.

It’s a judgment, not a fact. I could easily be proven wrong, but doubt I will.

Absolutely ridiculous to say Duncan isn't managerial material based on nothing more than a hunch.

I'm happy to leave Duncan as a manager until the AGM where we can discuss what we want going forward.

I'm kinda sick of possession, poncy football. Wish we could find the next Simione :(

We have. His name is Duncan F.

Nevermind I found it.

Everton remain focussed on trying to make a swift managerial appointment to permanently succeed Marco Silva, despite Duncan Ferguson’s winning start in caretaker charge.

Ferguson took some of the pressure off Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri by guiding the team to a much-needed victory over Chelsea.

But it is understood Moshiri still favours trying to find a permanent successor to Silva, who was sacked last week, as quickly as possible.

Vitor Pereira remains the favourite for the permanent post, although contact has been made with Unai Emery who was sacked by Arsenal.

The Gunners would be saved a big compensation bill if Emery made an immediate return to management in the Premier League, although the Spaniard may choose to take his time before seriously considering offers.

Pereira has been interviewed for the Everton job before and is well thought of by Moshiri, while chairman Bill Kenwright has pushed the cause for a return for David Moyes.

Mauricio Pochettino and Carlo Ancelotti have been linked with the post, but Everton would struggle to attract either man, while Ralf Rangnick has admirers within the club.
Getting the new man in relatively quickly would allow Everton to plan effectively for the January transfer window and give him more chance to get to know his squad.

Everton face Premier League games against Manchester United, Arsenal, Burnley and Newcastle United before the New Year.
The fact that the process is being led by Moshiri and influenced by Kenwright will raise further questions over the role and level of involvement of director of football Marcel Brands.
Former Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac was at Goodison Park to watch Everton’s victory over Chelsea, but it is believed he will wait until the summer before looking for a new job.
Kovac is thought to be interested in the Premier League and is expected to watch more matches in England during the rest of the season.

Telegraph means nothing Dave, its all about the reporters.

And at least link the story, FFS.

Bascombe is the Telegraph fella. Its a slow football news day, thanks to Russia doping everyone with a pulse, so his editor asked him for 400 words on Everton......."Board want it done, short list includes ABCD, Duncan in charge at the weekend if not" Lob in an injury update on Gblammo and Sweet Cheeks Gomes, job done.

Nevermind I found it.

Not good news if its been lead by Moshiri and Kenwright.

Not good news at all.
