I think we're going to either be waiting for somebody to go to Arsenal then picking up who's left, fishing in totally different (leftfield) pond or hiring David Moyes.

Option 1 is fine if Dunc keeps the lads playing

Option 2 is fine anyway

Option 3 would ruin my christmas

Assuming we can't attract someone of the calibre of Ancelotti or Ten Hag, this process is boiling down to the least worst option.

Pereira out thankfully, and Moyes moving down the list.

Moshiri is a fan pleaser or tries to be, but in the absence of a big name then it looks like we'll get a middle of the road option.

Gallardo would be great, but I haven't seen one concrete link.

The dark horses I think are Jardim and Marcelino, with Emery the more obvious option.

I would go for Jardim in that instance, whilst his star has fallen he still has potential and a French title and Champions League SF are not to be sniffed at.

I could live with his appointment more than others and ultimately I think the person appointed will be the one perceived at the least unpopular of the available options.

If a single GIF could sum up an Everton season, it’s this one of Roy’s reaction.

Usually there is no smoke without fire, but genuinely noone outside of Everton know whats going on or who is in the frame, do they? Should we be worried?

I think that’s a good thing because it’s playing our cards close to our chest. If we are approaching any managers in jobs already then surely it would make sense to keep it on the down low and then once we have agreed terms it will come out as will the compo we would be paying
