What happens when you sack someone in December. Its difficult to get who you might want. Unless you are getting an out of contract manager like Moyes, it takes ages.
But there are a lot of other managers who are considerably better that are available as well. This isn't "oh, Everton HAVE to go with Moyes/Pulis/FSA", Kovac, Marcelino, Ancelotti, etc are available.

Update from Philly K, Believe it or don't.

  1. Dunc in charge for United on Sunday and is likely to still be in the dugout for the Carabao Cup quarter-final tie with Leicester City at Goodison on Wednesday night.
  2. could have the new man in place for the home game against Arsenal on December 21.
  3. Moshri has final say, Brands and BK helping.

  4. It is believed that Everton are open to the idea of appointing a manager who does not have any Premier League experience and David Moyes' hopes of a Goodison return also appear to be fading.

Point 3 is scary.

The last part of point 4 gave me a semi if i am being honest.

'David Moyes' hopes of a Goodison return also appear to be fading'

If it is true Ancelotti would come you’d be nuts to turn him down. Doubt he would be a long-term manager, so he would have to get silverware within the first couple of seasons.
