That's like saying BFS was a massive risk?
Them safety first tactics are mastered by both of them.
Would rather put pins in my eyes and go blind before watching that sort of football again. A quality manager will be able to play attractive football and also defend

I wouldn’t risk spending so much money with Moyes I think he is that out of touch it would be doing exactly what we have been doing for far too long. We need someone with Ancelotti’s status who will attract the names and then when his day in the spot light is done the next manager will be set to hit the ground running and so on. I just don’t think Moyes can do it
Perhaps the key is giving him a tiny amount of cash. He was trying to sign McGinn from Hibs for just a couple of million at Sunderland and West Ham. He’s turned out to be a really good Premier League player.

Yeah but I think the way the player sales have evolved any player now comes with a massive premium so I don’t think it would be a small amount of cash.

Never played itin my life! Honestly.
As for 11 v 1 - might as well get my nan to do it then.
I just think, especially in sport, we tend to think that we are living in the biggest, greatest, most competitive era ever.

Bobby Robson forgot more about football than most of us will ever know, and he said that you can talk about systems and styles as much as you like. But the real key is having good players, and then setting the side up in a way that gets the most out of them.

You can have the best strategy in the world, but it counts for nothing if youdo not have the men to make it work.

Mate, moyes has been sacked or pushed from last 4 jobs.Once again I find myself amazed that any blue would consider him a safe option in modern football.
We're talking Everton here! He'd do a job like he always did. We are not Sunderland or West Ham or anything like them. I am not endorsing Moyes - far from it. I wanted him gone long before he went.

I appreciate its only one game , but at least he’s shown he can set up and manage a game against top club and win.
Arteta I’ve never seen him manage anything so I have no evidence of his abilities to succeed or not .
Appointing someone with zero experience on their CV is not the most professional way to go.
We beaten Chelsea 4/6 games at Goodison and 90% of that win was new manager bounce plus Goodison.. Sunday is the true test of him.
Cahill/Arteta and Dunc should NOT be our next manager

One thing that struck me - everyone is going this way and that as the club “turns” to various different names. Could it not be the case they are just carrying out a series of interviews?!?

I would go Ancelotti then Moyes before Arteta. With Moyes you know he will build a base for future success. With a bit more money he might even break the glass ceiling this time.
You would hope he can.. fact remains that he can’t break the glass ceiling, he did it once with a worse team he ended with. He under achieved with that Everton team

Their not likely to be but big Dunc loved playing at OT let’s see if he can get the players up for it
