I personally think its his decision.

I said a few weeks ago that Brands would never appoint Moyes.

But that was then and this is sadly now, needs must.

It was the same when we got Sam, we approached him, we thought we could do better, but as I keep saying, not many managers jump ship to join teams in our position.

His reputation will be tarnished, if he has. To many of us, it looks like a Kenwright appointment. You would think with his experience he wouldn't be susceptible to the whims of a club chairmen. It's unimaginative and in no way indicates a man who has control of his remit. It will be a stick to beat him with, that he will regret being associated with, if true.

Even before a few weeks ago, Silva was a slow train wreck. A responsible board would have identified the warning signs last season. Unfortunately what we are seeing in the cumulative actions of inaction and failure at critical board room level. No purpose, no plan. Lurching from one hit to another.

Being painted as on the ropes is a favorite media pastime concerning Everton. Falling into that narrative sees us appointing Alladyce or Moyes or some up and coming flavor of the month. This mindset has to change.

Or maybe if you were a professional footballer you would walk in and ask. What have you ever won?

I don’t think we have a choice, or maybe we were lead to believe we don’t have a choice. I personally dislike Moyes, but discipline and organise tactics for short term benefit is what the team needs.
Hopefully a boss appointment in the summer. 95% of the fans don’t want him but sadly our preference is of little importance to the club.

Moyes doesn't have it in his locker to prep these players to his fashion. It will be a disaster. Do you think they are going to cower when he walks into the dressing room. They will be on their phone to their agents. S.O.S. If they won't perform with Silva, what makes you think Moyes would make a difference.

We are in the point where any appointment IS A RISK. (And this is all on on board)
I actually dont care anymore if the manager has premier league experience, cant see why it would give us anything. We need bold appointment. Im starting to warm for that Gallardo guy...or Marcelino, eirher would do.

This next appointment will determine the direction that the level of my support goes in.
Never have I felt like this. Perhaps because I was a younger man I managed to get through our past flirtations with relegation. I don't know. But this time, I feel different. I'm at the end of my tether. Only the prospect of a new stadium has kept me interested these last couple of years.
But this shambles right now is overshadowing that even.
To be honest, I expected that last night (as did the vast majority of our fans). But, I didnt expect to be numb about losing by that many to that shower. Will always love the club and follow our fortunes, but if we get this next appointment wrong my attendance at matches will diminish.
