I guess this is a weird question but how is it that Townsend never played again? It's an ACL surgery, usually about a 12 month recovery. It was 18 months for him here?

a recovery not quite going to plan then it would have been a brave decision to throw him into the cauldron we were in. Looking at how Dychelooked after DCL's injury, he may have been playing ultra cautious with him
No, I get that. But almost everyone was saying last year he'd never paly for the club again because of the injury and he never did. Just seemed like he should have been fit for a couple months or so.
