Next season who do we keep and who do we get rid of

Ok....

We know the following are gone (out of contract/loans ending:
Mina
Townsend
Davies
Begovic
Coleman
Davies
Coady
Vinagre
Simms
Broadhead

Not much of that affects our starting 11 - but clearly we will need to strengthen at CB (replacing Coady and Mina) and full back (we knew that already.

Now - question is, who else will we sell? I'd guess:
Maupay
Onana
Branthwaite
Gray(?)
Iwobi (either we sell him as he has 1 year left or we have to give him a new deal)
DCL? Can we trust him and keep him?

Also I think someone big could come in for Pickford...

We have to strengthen - there's not many positions in the team that I think are nailed down starters. Of those that are left, I think potentially only the following are likely to start most weeks under Dyche next season:

Pickford
Tarkowski
Garner
Doucoure
McNeil
DCL (if he gets fit and stays)

I don't think either Patterson or Myko have the full back positions locked up. Also think Gana Gueye needs to become more of a squad player.

And we've gto to do this massive rebuild with very little cash. Going to be fascinating!
One Davies is enough thanks!

Reality is that we won't be selling Maupay. There can't be a club in Europe willing to offer him the wages that he's accustomed to after the season that he's had. But we can fully expect offers for Onana, and transfer fees for players like Onana could be vital to our rebuild.
Apparently Salernitana are keen on Maupay.

Why don't we give them a sweetener by offering 2 million to take him off our hands.

Only way I’d be ok with Branthwaite going is if we got huge money and reinvested it all wisely, which seems unlikely. Onana will be the cash cow if anyone bids daft money; enter Chelsea.

Think the following desperately need to leave - Maupay, Holgate, Keane, Gomes, Gbamin and Alli (well do incredibly well to shift the last pair). And all the lads on frees bar Coleman and Begovic.

I’d also not be surprised if we’ll listen to offers for most players, namely Godfrey, Gana, Iwobi, Simms, Gray.

Bring on a ruthless summer.

I’ll be celebrating the departure of the BK boys, Mick Kegger and Willy Wonka.

Big drain on resources that just don’t deliver enough!

Apart from the out of contract ones I can only see leaving...

Holgate, Alli, Maupay, Onana

Have to think logically here. We won't have the finances to bring in another 8 players

Our squad is this -

6 defenders - (2 full backs, 4 CBs)
4 midfielders (2 DMs, 1 CM, 1 box to box)
3 wingers
3 strikers.

We've a 16 man squad as it stands. So some mad firesale isn't going to happen. And shouldn't.

Main ones to keep unless fees are met:

Pickford (£50mil)
Patterson (£20mil)
Branthwaite (£50mil)
Tarkowski (£25mil)
Onana (£75mil)
Garner (£50mil)
McNeil (£40mil)

Fees based upon how much they are worth on the pitch and resale if developed well.

Love to keep all of them.

I think that we need to be realistic given our lack of money and inability to attract top drawer players. We have some players that are limited but are probably the best we can do without spending money we don't have. Then there's Iwobi!

I'd keep;
Pickford
Tarks
Coady (he has limitations but he's better than Holgate, Godfrey and is a 'leader')
McNeil
Gana Gueye. He's getting old but he's still good at what he does (breaking up play). We shouldn't moan about his inability to hit 20/30 yard passes, that's not his game. We wouldn't get anyone as good as him in his role for any amount of money we could afford
Garner (admittedly, this is based on only a few games)
Doucoure
Gray (blows hot & cold, whereas some of the others have the switch permantly stuck on 'cold')

Unsure (depending on how much we could get for them/ how much they would cost in wages);
Patterson
Mykolenko
Coleman (is he too old?)
Branthwaite - as he's come through the youth ranks and is playing elswhere on loan, he has become (like many others before him) a superstar. He might well be, but more likely he's another Godfrey/Holgate/Davies/Besic, etc, all of whom were intially lauded. Keep him and see how he goes - unless we are offered daft money for him
Onana (see below)
Canon - keep him unless we are offered daft money for him

Get rid;
Holgate
Kean
Mina (as we have no choice)
Godfrey
Vinagre
Ali
Iwobi
Onana (if we can get good money for him)
Davies
Townsend
Maupay
Simms (not good enough)
DCL - can hold the ball reasonably well and bring others into play, but so can many other strikers (Weghorst for example). Barring half a season under Ancelooti he has never been a regular goalscorer and now there are serious concerns over his fitness
All of the others that are currently on loan
