Chiefs now favourites on Sunday on the back of the Mahomes updates.

I still view this as a 50/50 game.

The gap between Mahomes and Burrow is very narrow.

Actually admire how much love you have for your Chiefs. It's nice to know you're actually capable of loving something. But Burrow is about to dissect them limb from limb and you're about to cry about how the NFL is scripted like the WWE. Soz Kev
Mate you are so easily provoked by nicompoops like @Acrobat

Try generating your own heat for a change instead of following the herd as I think deep down you’re possibly capable of being reasonable and articulate.

I'd disagree, on a technicality.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the kopites in terms of players and team. Their fans tend to be ok though

The Chiefs have the kopite-esque fanbase, but their organisation and players are sound. Impossible to dislike Travis Kelce, for instance.

au contraire mon frere

Honestly, if Mahomes was fit I'd be excited for a close game. He's the best QB in the NFL, and he has carried the Chiefs to another AFC championship game. He's awesome.

But all these videos of his super great ankle have told me a story. The dude is gimped, and the Chiefs are trying to find any way of psyching out the Bengals who, at the end of the day, do not care. This won't be a classic Chiefs/Bengals matchup, and it's a shame.

I'll just leave these stats here, assuming he cant scramble that much:

Mahomes has completed 391 of 552 passes (70.8%) from the pocket for 4,598 yards...34 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, and a passer rating of 109.6. Only San Francisco's Brock Purdy (114.6) and Philadelphia's Jalen Hurts (111.7) have better passer ratings from the pocket this season.

Mahomes isn't injured. He played last week, he's been training with the rest of his team this week. He's pretty obviously been fine the whole time.

The whole manufactured narrative about "Will Mahomes be able to play against Cincinnati?" is just the NFL drumming up every last ounce of publicity they can, stoking the media and spectator frenzy ahead of a huge game.

The bigger questions are whether or not Jonah Williams and Alex Cappa will be fit to rejoin the Cincinnati offensive line, and if Tre Flowers will be back to man up against Travis Kelce. If the Bengals can run the ball like they did against Buffalo, and keep Kelce quiet when the Chiefs are in possession, then we'll have a close game.
