Sucks. Mahomes was good and then we got to terms with it. Shutting them out for a half and losing just hurts. Right there and we tossed it away. The Flowers fumble is probably not going to be properly recognized for how much of a disaster it was. Just one of the worst possible decisions you can make.

Reminds me of 2006 when we held Manning to all FGs and lost it.

All year they’ve not lost when they took care of the call and they didn’t take care of the ball. Down to down they can beat anyone but this is the NFL and those types of games will kill you.

The Browns had an identical situation against the Chiefs at Arrowhead in the divisional playoffs a couple of years ago. Player stretched for the endzone (not on a 3rd or 4th down) and result was a touchback.

If I remember, Mahomes was also out of the game with an injury and Henne was in at QB. Browns had them on the ropes but it slipped away in that moment.

I honestly can’t believe players ever reach out. It’s such a low upside move that I’d have thought coaches would be going absolutely nuts to stop it. Short of a 4th and goal it’s never the right play and yet every week you see it. Take care of the ball!
