I mean damn his 2 SB is on par with Eli Manning still 5 SB behind Brady, someone tell Kev to put down the lube. but Mahomes is definitely a very good NFL QB and on a trajectory that will put him in the conversation with Brady and Montana.
LT revolutionized the position and defense, in general, in a way I don’t think any QB has.
I met him once while I was in college. He grew up in that town so he would occasionally go to the college team’s games. He was something to behold with his intensity, charisma, and physical presence.

not disagreeing about that, he was generational but also position defining; we could use another defensive player like him in the game today and can only think of a handful of guys who have defined positions the same way. but also my comment was more about the massive statistical advantage that Mahomes has on his peers; sure he passes the eye test, but have you actually seen how many SBs he's won? this is something we've never seen before...

somewhere there's a video of Belichick talking about coaching defense for the Giants and telling Parcells that LT was 5 minutes late for a meeting. Parcells asked Belichick, "well, why'd you start the meeting without him?"

In all seriousness The greatest player ever for me was Jerry Rice - that’s in terms of natural ability obviously backed up by accomplishments

Mahomes is on that level imo.

Montana and Brady had the smarts and competitiveness of Mahomes but not the freakish skill set that the likes of Mahomes and Rive have/had.

Mahomes is obviously very good, but football is a weird sport that offers a lot of different types of players a chance to succeed, but very few get more than one chance. Let's see if he continues to take his chances.

Also, with all the rule changes aimed at protecting quarterbacks, it’s never been easier to play that position imo

that may give a boost to certain QBs, especially if they are really good, but the game is harsh and defenses adapt quickly and QB flaws get found out quickly; I think that has pushed us into an era with more passing and scoring and inflated stats, but it's not necessarily and easy game for average QBs. to this end I will point out the Saints could have dominated with someone better than the parade of mediocrity that is Carr/Winston. even then Carr grades out as average looking at the stats, eyes be damned.

Macdonald to the Seahawks

Ravens could be in for a tough time next year

That’s a big blow
This year was probably their best shot but I don't see too many teams on the rise other than Houston and IMO they are probably 2-3 years away.

Ravens got to get Madubuike and Dobbins signed.

I know he's injured a lot but Dobbins at full strength is a top 3-5 RB. I've seen him take over games w/o Lamar. He could probably be had for a no risk 1 year contract at 5-7M (with a cap at 245M who cares) or at something like James Conner's contract (3/21 hardly a cap killer - that's one year of the No.2 WR you overpaid for). Honestly when he got injured I thought there went the chances for a Ravens SB.

Mahomes, 13-1 indoors 10-0 in domes.

Averages 306 passing yards with 33 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions through the 14 indoor games.

Terrifying.
