NFL 2024 Season

This is why Mahomes is the best QB ever. No one else makes this pass. The catch by DHop is out of this world as well but this angle shows Mahomes true greatnesss as picks out Hopkins.

I’m biased but I think there are only 2 people that make that throw. Allen and Mahomes are the only 2 players I’ve seen consistently get out of scrambles like that. This a TD from Sunday, he still makes the score despite being half way to the floor off two tackles. The 2nd angle is better.

idiotic not going for 2 to win the game, all that effort to leave it down to a coin toss.
I was reading that in fact the odds are marginally higher of winning a successful coin toss than a successful 2 point conversion. Plus if you lose the coin toss you don’t necessarily fail to stop the other team. Odds of them scoring on a first possession TD are around 30% generally. The weather was poor, they dropped a pass into the end zone due to slippery conditions on the prior play as well so that might have factored into it.

So there is some logic to it however a lot of that (particularly being able to stop Mahomes in OT) has to go out of the window when you are playing the Chiefs obviously.

yeh maybe against someone else you'd take your chances with the coin toss but gimme the 2 point attempt to win any day against the chiefs and mahomes.

I think the way to look at it is basically do you think you’ve got a better chance of scoring on one play from the two or winning in OT? For me it is very hard to make a case that TB was above 50/50 on winning the game in overtime so they probably should go for two.

Chiefs have won 14 straight now. Assuming they beat the Broncos next week as they should then they go into Buffalo 15 unbeaten.

Beat the Bills and in the 16 game winning streak they will have beaten the Ravens x2, the Bills x2 the Bengals x2 and the Niners x2.
Intrigued by that Denver game, who to be clear will not win because Spags is going to put Nix in hell, because I imagine they’ll actually challenge the Chiefs WRs some and I just am curious what that looks like. As I said last night I think the first step with KC is not playing scared and Denver has the guys to do so.

I think Hopkins has opened up a whole new dimension by his presence alone. Look at Mahomes numbers this week and last week since he arrived.

Total 5tds 1 int. passer rating 106.

Yeah we will see, I still don’t think he’s someone who I fear separating down the field so even if he’s going to make more plays I still feel you have to challenge him to make them.

The Chiefs are absurdly good on the money downs so if you don’t compete on every single one they’ll grind you down.

He's never been much of a separator. He's one of the best route runners and contested catchers of the last 10 years though. There was a stat saying that the Chiefs had only one contested catch all season until last night, when Dhop got two in a single night. Chiefs' receiver problems over the last two years haven't been about separation, its been drops. They've basically solved that overnight.
