Draws immediete double coverage - every single down, or at least he did in Houton and Arizona - not sure about Tennessee. That will help Kelce, and the other receivers when they return. He's never been much of a separator. He's one of the best route runners and contested catchers of the last 10 years though. There was a stat saying that the Chiefs had only one contested catch all season until last night, when Dhop got two in a single night. Chiefs' receiver problems over the last two years haven't been about separation, its been drops. They've basically solved that overnight.

The answer to me is very obviously make Hopkins win the battle on the outside 15+ times. If he earns it he earns it, what you can’t beat the Chiefs doing in letting Kelce (or Grey or Watson) walk 12 yards down the field uncontested on a bunch of third downs.Teams have to pick their poison. They can't just double Kelce now that there are two big, strong pass catchers who can instinctively move into areas of the field to extend plays even when they break down. You can't double both of them
This is why Mahomes is the best QB ever. No one else makes this pass. The catch by DHop is out of this world as well but this angle shows Mahomes true greatnesss as picks out Hopkins.
I can like this. Maybe keep Mickey around if he is willing to acquire talent and picks instead of doubling down every year.
until I read the Esk break down the cap it's not realReally tough for next year’s cap though.
@Prevenger17I agree here on Mahomes' throw - but that is a routine catch from Hopkins, nothing special.
Yes. They were in overtime last night.Too early to proclaim a perfect season for the Chiefs?
Maybe, but outside of the Bills, Texans and Steelers I can’t see anyone else laying a finger on them. Bills are the best bet out of these 3 teams but that depends on how long it takes our offence to get going. The Bills also have the edge (3-1) in regular season games in the Allen/Mahomes era. It’s the playoffs were it all falls apart for the Bills.Too early to proclaim a perfect season for the Chiefs?
The Chiefs are better than everyone they play aside from maybe Buffalo but I once again want to stress this is not the 2007 Patriots. They will have to work for the 1 seed yet.Maybe, but outside of the Bills, Texans and Steelers I can’t see anyone else laying a finger on them. The Chiefs may have the #1 seed sewn up early and then rest players for the playoffs, a loss may come in that scenario. Doubtful Reid would do that, but you never know.
