NFL 2024 Season

It’s been ages since I’ve seen a team give away a game harder than Seattle did today. Not just the numerous red zone disasters. Why wouldn’t they just take the points in overtime? Did they think they had to play the whole 10 minutes?

The Vikings’ ability to play down to their opponent actually needs to be studied, a sports psychologist could write an amazing paper on it

Just got back from the Packer game. Le Fleur makes as many bad choices as Jordan Love. You're down 24-3, that's a 3 score game. You've got a 4th down and you take the field goal. It's 24-6. It's a 3 score game. 4d chess.
I think everyone for the Packers made bad decisions last night.

MLF seemed to abandon the run early for no apparent reason. Every time they got into FG range, he stopped calling runs and they started taking deep shots at the end zone. And that was with Jacobs getting a hundred yards in the first 20 minutes!

Love played well for the most part. But the inexplicable mistake on the pick 6 effectively ended the game. Mistakes of that level lose games. He got frustrated by drops and tried to force something that wasn't there. Absolutely terrible error.

Every drive on offence had at least 1 penalty / botched snap / drop. Until the last one in garbage time when they scored.

The packers had the gameplan in place to be extremely competitive and had the talent to be competitive. But the amount of basic errors they made was unacceptable.

I think you have to ask questions of Lafleur after another bad performance in a big game. The packers are a good team but great teams don't make those mistakes.

Watching highlights of the packers / lions now.

Lions very fortunate imo. Lots of errors down to weather conditions by Packers who outgained them in yardage 2-1.

Chiefs would handle them quite easily, say 28-14

They weren't fortunate- they deserved to win because they didn't make basic errors.

Putting up yardage is irrelevant if you can't avoid huge errors every time you get into scoring range. What frustrated me most was that this game was not the Lions outplaying Green Bay - it was Green Bay making inexplicable errors.
