Best sport on the planet for drama.
Some bad calls by Saints and then the ref made the end of the game fantastic.

I think the fact that the season is short and intense with just the one ultimate big prize helps too.

I love it, and will miss it after the Superbowl.

Not with the no call but the insane play calling before the no call. In easy FG range, just run the ball three times, eat some clock and take away their Time Outs. Why on earth pass the ball on first down? Not every play needs to be some overthought smartarse play. Just do the basics.

All the talk will be about the no call but it should never have got to that point.

A delay of game penalty at that point in a championship game is awful too.

Because passing the ball won the game until the refs decided not to enforce the rules. If they run 3 times and kick the FG it's 23-20 with a 1:15ish left to go tie it for the Rams. If they get a first down the game is over unless Lutz misses from inside 30 or if they score a TD they can't lose unless McVay goes for 2 after an improbable touchdown drive. They played to win and the referee bottled it. It's natural to second guess everything but in this case there is no need. Everyone saw what happened and that decided it.

I get the reasoning but it was dumb for me, sometimes you overthink things and this was one of those moments. Go for the pass on third down if you have to. The delay of game penalty had me fuming.
