Any method really, mate. Whose colours do you like the best? Which is your favourite part of America? Any friends or relatives over there?

Failing that, use a random generator and commit yourself to whoever it picks!

For no other reason than the wire being my favourite tv show I always kept an eye out for the ravens. Don't know if that's a really good way to pick a team though lol

How on earth do you pick a team to support. Got pretty into this over the last few years, watch far too many silly programmes about it (QB1, All or Nothing, last chance U) but can't pick a team...

Thanks mate. Think I've narrowed it down to Baltimore and Tampa... got some researching to do before I choose!

Way back, I picked Denver because I liked their mascot! lol And the rest is history. My backup team is New England since both my parents are from MA.

If you do it right, which means fully taking on the Yank mindset, then you're allowed shameless team-switching as often as you want, plus you get to put Cowboys stars all over your car too, so don't feel like you can't make a mistake and then "fix" it later.

*But if you want to go deep into Yank culture, with football team selection that borders on religion (or English football support), then delve into the dark pool of college football

**Maybe it's fair to add that in some parts of America, specifically the Atlantic seaboard down to DC, NFL teams are religiously followed, but for the midwest and South, up to Denver and excepting Chicago, college football is family and religion rolled into one; once you go West of Denver it all changes, but most of these people are weird anyway
