Arians loves to do 7 step dropbacks and deep passes. It sometimes works so he's not an awful coach as he's had success. The Steelers won a SB w/ him, the Cards had a good offense w/ Palmer + a bunch of flyers at WR and Luck did well w/ him too. You'll score points w/ the side effect being eventually/probably your QB will get killed. Brady has (next to Taysom Hill) one of the the weakest arms in the league now. Also Arians doesn't do those flare passes (which were NE's runs) that Brady loves to do. Its a horrible horrible marriage. Replace Brady w/ any of these mid-tier QBs: Stafford, Carr, Ryan and the offense would be top 10. Put Brady on a offense suited for him these days (what the Saints are doing right now) and he'd be a better player too.

I'm 100% against owner meddling but the Steelers owner forcing the Arians firing uh "retirement" over the objections of Tomlin and Ben (who loves Arians) added 3-5 years to Ben's career.

No one likes Todd Haley, he's a grade A @#@hole, but he was a much better OC, and/or the right OC for the steelers at the right time.

Yep. I'm amazed Ben is able to do what he can after the beating he took over that time with Arians in charge.

He's resilient. Does he have any college eligibility left?

With the new rules the bi-annual Ravens-steelers concussion bowl is a thing of the past which has helped too. QBs can play until they are around 40 if they keep enough of their arm strength.

As Peyton Manning showed, that arm doesn't have to be all that strong either.

A man's got to know his limitations and play the game accordingly. It's also good to know when to leave.

I thought the Steelers were pretty much done, but I was very wrong. It's funny to think of them as an unbeaten sleeper, but that's what they are.

They looked so tired in 2019 that nobody saw this coming. Here it is. Keep Ben upright.
