Brazen tanking from the Eagles there. Benching the QB in the 4th at only 17-14 down. Pretty shameless from them but if it was Everton and Liverpool in a similar situation I'd be all for it. And let's be honest, none of them really deserve to be in the playoffs anyway with those records

The weird thing is if they did that but brought Wentz in it would have been totally defensible because Hurts was kinda bad. But that Sudfield was such an abomination that it was clearly a move to lose.

Goth rugby

Tbf, I do enjoy writing about the NFL. Just have to take the time to make sure my blagging it doesn't show :D

Yes... that's what "tanking it" means. The Eagles get a higher ranked draft pick as a result (at the expense of my team, Cincinnati, who were too stupid to lose last week) and a better shot at rebuilding quicker.

The weird thing with this league is that the moment you've lost seven games you may as well stop trying to win - you're better off finishing 4-12 than you are finishing 8-8.

Just watched the late game from last night

One of the worst games I've ever seen. That QB the eagles brought in was appalling haha lol

Alex Smith couldn't even look after the ball either. Proper NFC East rubbish.

It does appear on paper that the Chiefs will face the Ravens in the divisional round to me. I’ll be honest it’s a concerning game to me - obviously we’ve beaten them 3 straight but it appears that Baltimore have got their act together recently mainly by Lamar coming to terms with what he actually is - a running back.

It doesn't always work that way though. The NFL it doesn't take that much to turn a team around and you definitely can make good picks in the middle of the first round. The Bucs and Titans both had top 5 picks that they used on QBs 5 years ago. Both are in the playoffs without those QBs. Lots of ways to win in the NFL and you don't ever have to lose first.

On the game last night, Hurts was so bad that I really don't even know that it made a difference to the extent people are saying it did.

I watched the 1st half and hurts looked pretty good

He was something like 1 for 7 for 7 yards in the second half before he got benched.

He's done ok but the standards he's being held to seem very low. And it is two straight weeks now that after teams got a feel for his scrambling in the first half he's been in real trouble.

Sudfield stunk but they were going nowhere long before.
