Thanks for the sixth round pick, btw. I heard the phrase "Teflon Tomlin" this week.

People were still fuming here that they dealt Scobee in the first place. Same at the confluence, now. Football's a funny game that way.

Scobee is getting cut on monday. I had no problem with Tomlin going for it.

It seemed like a good move for the Steelers at the time from here as well. In retrospect, I think cutting him (already done) is going to look like a mistake. It was a statement of intent on the season. Now, it doesn't look so good, especially with Ben banged up.

Scobee'll be working in two weeks max. If I were the Giants kicker, I'd be nervous. Heck, if I were anybody's kicker, I'd be nervous.

I knew one of the past Jags kickers, good guy, great golfer (most all the kickers are killer on the links - a kick is just a drive with your foot) and sangfroid all day long.
