Used to be bang into NFL back in the C4 Gary Imlach days (1980s), so i'm trying to get back into it. Primarily through games. Got a bit bored with Pro Evo (still a great game just not much narrative to it) and think this years FIFA is plop. So thought i'd give Madden 17 a try and have a few questions:
Are the tutorials any good for a relative novice?
As for my 'level' I watch games, not religiously, and wouldn't say i have a team i follow.
So i have a fair idea of the flow of a game but maybe not on a deep tactical level
So with this in mind what team would you play as? Obviously i don't want it to be too easy New England/South Carolina, or too hard Cleavland.
Any tips would be much appreciated, think i'll be able to work out Offense, but i reckon i'll struggle with Defense.

For Madden 17, definitely play through the Tutorial thing - I can't remember the exact name atm but it's something to do with Gatorade. It covers everything, it's great. You'll learn how to play defence, it'll take a few hours but you'll get it.
For teams to play as - I stick with the Patriots online but you can have fun and win a few with the Jaguars & Raiders. Raiders especially as they have a great offense and the defence is fine.
Follow the Coach Suggestion plays at first, it should explain why you run it too. If you're connected online it should also tell you the % of people who run what plays at what times. It's good to see, initially, if you play the same way as other players.
Quite the stirring rendition of the national anthem there.
