Yeah, I think that's more or less done and dusted now. It's become clear that the elite class is Brady, Montana, Unitas--three greats in three different eras. The interesting bit now is whether Rodgers continues to elevate and becomes one of these, and where the 2nd and 3rd tiers settle out.

Rodgers, Peyton, Elway, Favre, Marino, Bradshaw, Aikman, Staubach, Roethlisberger, Tarkenton, Stabler, Starr, Brees, Kelly... who belongs in these groups and where?
I've been watching some of the "Americas Game" series narrated by a variety of actors (Ed Harris, Martin Sheen, Laurence Fishburne etc). so just becoming familiar with some of these legends like Unitas, Staubach, Bradshaw, Starr. I caught the epiosdes lately about the early to mid 70s rivalry between the Raiders and Steelers. They were monster encounters! Listening to Madden laughing about the 'protective' pads they were sending their players out on the pitch with (basically a massive club to batter the opponents with). Imagine the likes of Cam Newton plying his trade back then!

Hello America, we are in Super Bowl week.

Your New England and my New England Patriots are back again but guess what, we're not here for that. We're here for props bets.

So far, our great online bookmakers are holding out on the good stuff but we have half-time music so there is always that.

Pokerface - 20/1.

Serious question to those across the pond - how do you plan on watching the Super Bowl? it starts a little before midnight in the UK. If it was a Saturday night like the Aussie Open final that's easily recordable and able to watch first thing Sunday morning. But it's a Sunday night game. Do you watch Monday morning and call off work? Do you stay up all night and call off work Monday? Do you grind through work on Monday with the smell of gin still on you?

Genuinely interested. The timing of the game must really suck for you if you care about the outcome.

Luckily, I have Monday off from University and did last time the Patriots won too but most years just get on with the Monday. Deal with the missed sleep during the week and half arse the Monday.

It is late for a Sunday night... unless like me, you don't work Monday ;) ;)
Wanted the Packers to win it, so having fallen to Atlanta I have to with them, even though I think the Patriots will win.

For the last few years I've taken the Monday off mate. Sleep in a bit longer than normal on Sunday, start drinking about 8, plenty of snacks in, plenty of bets on and then watch the game straight through. Usually have a few days holiday left this time of the year so would rather use them to be able to watch this. For the regular season I don't get to watch the Monday night or Thursday night games as they start about 1.30am here so watch the highlights the next day.
