As a UK fan I know its different, but a bloody shame Chiefs AND Bengals gassed it.

The chiefs exceeded expectations so it kind of takes the sting away I guess.
The Bengals are arguably the most talented team in the AFC (them or Denver) not that was a choke. Just a total DERP by the offense and the offensive coaches.
Kaperinick 13 yards a carry only 5 carries. Shockingly dumb playcalling. The 49ers will prob still pull it out but this game shouldn't have been close by halftime.

I decided to follow the Patriots to annoy my brother but I've actually started watching some games now and I quite enjoy it. It's still very stop-start for me but I'm getting more and more into it.

Yeah it's a different type of enjoyment. But tbh there's large periods of footie matches where nothing much happens even though it's continuous.
Outside of the Bengals implosion earlier today, looks like all the games are close and interesting down the stretch. A good opening weekend for playoff football--hoping next weekend goes the same (especially for the Saints).
It's interesting watching the strategy play out on a play-by-play or drive-by-drive basis. Not the same as the continuous action of an Everton game, but much easier to see how changes are being made and applied by both sides as the game goes on.
