Like in all other ways, from the Cherokee perspective, my Northern European ancestors won out genetically

Yep. Down south over here, most of us claim a little bit of Cherokee. Mine comes from my Dad's mom. My Mom was gingery blonde (think Mia Farrow) and her Mom was a Scots-Irish ginger with red hair. I look like my Dad's side of the family, but still have the ginger complexion from my Mom's side.

My Dad was a milkman by trade and had dark hair and a deep tan, my Mom was a blonde hairdresser who was almost transparently pale.

I came out with kind of orangey fuzz on my dome. When queried, Mother always said - "It was the milkman, you see..."

Irish, English, Cherokee on materal side; German (mostly), English and Cherokee on paternal side.

Both my parents and sister have brown to dark brown hair and tan nicely. I am the full on mutant of the family. We actually had a ginger mailman when I was a baby/toddler so made for good jokes especially with 3 other ginger kids on the street. lol

On topic: Anyone follow Dallas and can fill me in? I really don't watch much NFL, but the Cowboys are my grandma's team so I try to keep a little

They upset me by signing Michael Sam to their practice squad. How dare they do something that would make me want to like them.

They're likely to be rubbish again this year, although should reach the playoffs.

Ghostly white ....unfortunately.

On topic: Who won the game last night?

Indeed. MODZ??

Seahawks looked great. Looks like the NFC North is wide open. The Bears didn't impress me in preseason, who knows what the Lions will do, and the Vikes? Adrian Peterson and all, but the Vikes? It's anybody's division. In a few weeks we'll know whether this was more about the Hawks or the Pack.

They sure can unleash the home job up there, can't they? If we had a house like that here it would be very scary. People can drink and yell down here like nobody's business, but all the sound goes straight up here in Jax. Florida Field at UF is the loudest place in the world since they put in the North end zone. It's in a hole in the ground, and it all focuses on the field. It'll give you a headache. Best for me, the bands sound terrific - I used to bring a high school band there for contests. We loved to play there.

My Cowboy fan mates would disagree with the last part of your last sentence. Their hope is that it'll be hopelessly gash this year so Jerrah goes for a full rebuild, hires a general mgr. to run the team, and steps back. I think they're smoking crack - Jerrah's ego is bigger than his stadium, and he'll never change. It's like watching the RS in the weeds with King Kenny. It's boss.

Jerry's an Arkansas boy so I am familiar with him. You are correct. He's never letting go control. He's part of a gaggle of guys that won the National Championship at Arkansas. There are all just like him.
