American Football is historically a Fall-only sport. The American sports calendar is:

Fall/start of school: Football
Winter/Spring: Basketball
Spring/Summer: Baseball

Add to that the brutality of the game and it can't reasonably get any longer.

The man would blow my mind every time I watched him...truly legendary, for me. First guy in this video sums it up. I never had a team as we didn't have one here for the longest time, so I had fav players and he was it. NFL died for me when he left, TBH.

If you liked Sanders, you should watch Adrian Peterson. Different styles, but has that same "I'm the best athlete in the league and I'm going to show it on every carry" type of attitude. Amazing runner.
