Going to my first NFL game on Sunday . Jacksonville at home v the colts. I'm looking forward to it.

Admittedly for me games aren't that fun anymore, you never realize how many TV timeouts there are until you at a game and it really saps the life out of it. However that doesn't mean the tailgates can't be fun.

Get out. Really? You must get in early and tailgate.

On form, young Luck will look like the second coming of Johnny U. Jags have played three putrid halves in a row, so they may be helped out because they are due and I think that Gus is the coach that can do it. Or they could start Bortles. (Prays)

Please let us know how it goes, you're in my 'hood while I'm sitting here in Libberpool. What a world.

It'll be hot, so grab a beer and hydrate early and often.
it should be decent. We are on a coach from Orlando on some tour package ticket and coach deal.. Is it easy enough getting a pint by the stadium without doing the tail gate ?

When my missus realises how long the game is she won't be pleased haha. Though it's my revenge for being dragged round Disney on my birthday for 12 hours without a beer the other day.

There isn't much right by the stadium in terms of actual bars, the closest spot is next to the arena across the street from the baseball field on J Philip Randolph Blvd. There are numerous bars on Bay St. Downtown, a good long walk away from the stadium. There will be lots of places to quench your thirst at the field itself, though. Watching the teams warm up before the game may be of interest. The stadium will open about two hours before game time if things haven't changed too much.

There will be several kiosks and places for beer/food consumption just west of the stadium, and I would recommend you check out the whole tailgate scene going on all around Everbank Field as a true look at America. There are massive parking lots full of folks in lawn chairs around their cars, with grills and other things setup and running, kids tossing the pigskin around, frisbee throwing, and vehicles used only for game day that are customized in a particularly American way to celebrate the love for the local squad. The locals aren't very good, but if they get going and the Duuuuuuvalllll roar starts, you may see something special.

Also, you must get there in time to see the mascot, Jaxson DeVille (I'm not making this up) find another death defying way to get in the stadium. "Risking his life for your entertainment." Since it's the opener, he'll have something new up his sleeve. He's really the best thing they've had going for the last few years. He'll probably be standing on one of the light towers and wind up jumping off to float down to the field using some rigging. Curtis (his real name) is pretty awesome.

One more thing, if you've never seen the anthem done complete with a flyover, it's something you'll not soon forget. Be early enough to check it out, don't be stuck in the beer queue underneath when it happens. Great big flag, fireworks on the south end, etc. A jet fighter will buzz the stadium at low level, suck all the air out the place, and pop your eardrums in the process exactly at the time the anthem ends. It's the tits.

Enjoy. It's 'Merica, lid.

No doubt you'll be a Luck fan by Christmas. The Giants are any good this year.

I still love TC. For being the drill sgt on the job, he's a pussycat away from his football, a real mensch. Nobody works harder than Tom Coughlin. Spent many years directly across from his place on the sideline watching him suffer thru play after play. This is going be a lonnnng year for those Giants.

What a player this guy is !!

Devin Hester: Last night broke Deion Sanders NFL record for punt/kick off returns for a TD. He's only been in the league for 7 years and will surely add to his number. He now stands alone on 20 TD returns. Astonishing feat, absolutely incredible.

Why oh why though were Tampa Bay kicking the punts straight to him though ? A player this dangerous on the return, surely you would try and kick the ball out of touch. Crazy tactics shown by Tampa.

I know rules are rules but that penalty his team received was just ridiculous. Can't believe he was pulled up because he ' taunted ' his opponents. That 20 yard high stepping into the end zone was a tribute to Deion Sanders, the guy whose record he broke. Shocking penalty. It was a special moment this and probably a record that will stand forever and yet they flagged him up for it.

Still WHAT a player. Special talent. Nailed on hall of famer

Saw this. Loved it when he was at the Bears. Remember watching them at Wembly a few years ago, and everytime a punt/k.o. went up the whole crowd held its breath! Gutted he left. How did that happen anyway? I don't pay as much attention as I should do! :(
