NHL

Good on ya Habs. They've finally made it to their first Stanley Cup final since 1993, the year they last won it. It was the last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup as well. I hope they go on and finish the job now.

Whether I want Montreal to win depends 100% on tomorrow night’s game. The Islanders are a team full of Heung-min Sons. Oh! I would never (slashes someone in the leg) do anything (punch to the back of the head) to hurt (cross-check to the face) another player!

Cole Caulfield, man, what a player you've got there @Efcjake

Very Bruce Cassidy like, but without dropping a Saints reference, this

Tampa Bay had the most penalty minutes in the NHL this season. Isles second fewest

You know, I didn’t mind the Isles last year. They were just a good tough physical team and that’s fine. This year it’s like Don Revie is their coach and I hate them.

I think it’s because the NHL referees are so incredibly weak as a group, and they’re completely unable to control these games. There’s no Howard Webb (to name a PL example) who can referee a game and gets instant respect from everybody. Most of the guys they have now are closer to that idiot Chris Kavanagh or that fat mess Jon Moss.

Teams now realize they can get away with more cheap shots and dirty play and they aren’t going to get penalized. The less that gets called, the more they do.

You might appreciate this. I met Kerry Fraser at an event several years ago. Extremely nice fellow

I am very nervous. I have never seen us in a Stanley cup finals. I have seen us lose in the Eastern conference finals a few times but this is all new.

I've been following the Habs since we moved to Ottawa (about 20 years ago now) because my Dad told me they were our team. Actually worked for years in Ottawa's stadium and have taken plenty of abuse off of their fans as they're my mates. Working during their Stanley cup finals run was a pain in the arse.

I got my first quality Habs jersey this year when they came out with a blue retro reverse (Gallagher). I caved after the last round and ordered the red home Price jersey. I never thought building a franchise around a goalie was a wise move in the modern NHL despite Montréal's history. He's completely shown me up and I love him for it. We are here off his back.

I watched that game 7 and the thing that scared me most was watching Tampa shut it down 1-0.

They have great offensive power and to be able to blow a team out 8-0 and then work hard and stay focused to keep it 1-0 in game 7 shows they can do it all.

I don't think we can match them offensively but if we can shutdown their top lines like we have done to every team we have played so far then we have a shot at grinding our way to the cup.

GO HABS GO

Shame it’s the Lightning against them or I would really be getting behind Montreal. As long as Tampa doesn’t get outworked or grossly unlucky they ought to be winning. The NHL is littered with Cinderella teams that make it to the finals but they very rarely win it.
