If you noticed the big cut across the nose of my player photo, he got smashed face first into the boards with a minute left in Game 7. Penalty on the Flames, an absolute must call, and this guy should have been sent off for dissent. Absolutely lost his head John Terry style.

I think the Flames were unlucky that year tbh. It was unfortunate that the lockout, deprived the Bolts the chance to properly defend their title though.

I am woefully ignorant of Habs, but to be fair they've had a lot of good players. I guessed Bob Gainey, but google tells me I was wrong. But seeing old school Habs reminds me of this "hockey player" courtesy of Bud Light. Anyone remember him?

The guy in the photo was Guy Lafleur, who sadly passed away a few days ago. There was a nice tribute to him at the game against the Boston Bruins. The Bruins were fitting opponents for such an occasion i think.
