If Dallas can get through this series I don't think they would have much trouble with Edmonton who doesn't play defense at all. Vancouver could be tricky especially if Demko comes back.

Think it's New York's to lose in the east. Carolina never raises its level above regular season intensity and honestly I just hate the Panthers and Bruins. Really hope the rest of that series involves cheap shots and fights and dodgy stick work.

Popped on to say Vancouver has impressed and I was probably wrong on them. Still a lot of hockey to play but they’re handling Edmonton so far.

Nichushkin has ended that series by going off the boil. Be surprised if he's not exiled back to the KHL by the end of the year.

Bad news all around for them and Avs had nothing last night. I can see them rebounding with a win in game 5 just out of determination but you're right it's done. Not to mention the Stars are a machine right now and special teams are cooking.

Every player with at least 1 point, 15 with a goal, and 8 with 2 or more goals.

Campbell conference has more interesting pairing at the moment. Although that Boston is still alive and Trouba has still been Trouba.

A romantic in me wants McJesus to get his at Edmonton 'cos I'm closing in on an opinion he is the all time greatest. I know I know... I wouldn't mind Dallas winning, enough Finns there but in the end I hope it's Florida. Barkov would be the first Finn to hoist the Cup as a captain.

A few quick thoughts after that series:

1. Pavelski is getting back into the game but still doesn’t look 100%
2. Stars went back to 6 D rotation and it worked with a guy who’s not played an NHL game in 6 years? Credit to Suter for holding that together and credit to Petrovic for a good game. I’m sure we see Hakanpaa as soon as he’s healthy
3. Georgiev was very good this series
4. Hopefully Rangers Panthers drags out to 7. Not familiar with either but I guess I’ll have to watch them and get familiar.

I'd say Stars are from between Panthers and Rangers. Panthers are probs a bit more hard working/consistent team than the Rs.
 
Oilers were mauled last night, it was only Skinner who kept 'em flouting. They had their chances though too so this time their goalie really gave them a fighting chance.
