Yeah I can't think of circumstances where an option clause isn't to the benefit of the buying club not the selling club. If the clause amount isn't good value you get them back, if it is good value the buyer snaps them up. £1m is basically nominal in football now a days. I'm fairly sure I read that it was thelwell who insisted on the option to buy being put in.
Which i must admit, if true doesn't fill me with confidence and probably alludes to the fact of why we need kenwright to stay and do the negotiations over deals.
