So many different reports, fee's being quoted. Scottish Sun running with £8m, Express say £6m. Jelavic supposedly told Rangers that he wants away.

Well, he is no Mario Gomez, but for something like 5 millions? Why not, we need a solid poacher so much. In the worst scenario, he can't be much worse than Bily, hopefully.

In ideal world, there would be still some money left on a new playmaker like Rasmus Elm, but seriously, I would be glad for a player like Kostas Manolas if we buy Jelavic or a striker of similar quality. Another player with an ending contract in summer like Hugo Rodallega or Mohammed Diame would be a massive bonus, at least for me.

Be careful with the use of "up front". We've offered £2.5m up front, that is in cash straight off, then instalments as per. West Ham offered no such thing.

Would welcome Jelavic, my only worry is that he may be a bit lightweight in this league. He is not as physical as he perhaps could be and this is masked by playing in the SPL, his international record is very poor which probs reflects this. But if he gets a 1 on 1 he will socre so i m giving this one the thumbs up!
