Yes plenty to look forward to. He's a real presence in the box and definitely knows where the goal is. He won't get the same time and space in the EPL of course, but there is enough there to suggest that if you can get the ball to him near the goal he'll score. And you're right about the fee; it's £5-6m max. Don't know where people are still getting £8m from. That was wishful thinking and talking to their fans on Rangers' part.

Good clips there. Some dodgy goalkeeping for a few of those but Jelly does seem to know where the goal is which is always a good start. Number 14 (overhead kick against Aberdeen) is a bit special. It's been a while since we have had one of those at Goodison by someone in a blue shirt.
 

Long time lurker, first time poster.

After yesterday's deadline drama, I am torn between concern and delight.

Delighted because we got rid of Saha, brought back Peanuts and brought in a striker. Overall, we've probably had the best window of all the PL clubs!

Concerned because Jelavic is coming from a poor league and watching those clips, the only thing they show is that the level of defending in the SPL is shocking. There is NO chance in hell he's ever going to get that amount of time or space in the Premiership, so for me this signing is a bit of an unknown.

We'll see I spose.
 
I have to say i am pretty happy with the 2 signing's we made myself,Jelavic has to be given a chance,he's getting knocked down before he can even walk so far just because he did well in scotland as anyone would do,

I agree with virtually everything...and we got Gibson too. It is a risky move to a certain degree, but one I think we absolutely had to take. I think there is a very good chance this will work out to be some good business done.
