Bernard been the best player for the last month or so and arguably has the best football brain in the squad. He's a starter for me mate either were he's playing now or at number 10 over sigurdsson

I personally would have him first choice at 10 but that means moving Sigurdsson on. If we don't he would be rotation for all 3 attacking positions so to keep them all fresh. Vlasic and DCL would be my other 2 attacking subs and I would keep Lookman. This would be dependent on us signing a left footed winger to play opposite side to Richarlison and a striker. If we dont sign winger Bernard would be first choice and Lookman would move up to rotation! Lots of ifs and buts at the minute but I definitely think Vlasic offers something to the squad.

I don’t get the feeling that Vlasic would get the 13 goals that Sigurdsson has got though. Not sure it’s wise to take them out of this team.

Why on earth does anyone think Bernard is a central player. He played all of 22 minutes outside of wing in his entire time at Shaktar. He's a wing and a very good one. Why would you move him? We also already have 3 or 4 left sided players - Lookman, Bernard, Richarlison, Onyenkuru.

Lookman is also MUCH better on the left than on the right. We need to stop putting him over there, it's a complete waste.

Heck no. But he'd be a great backup coming off the bench of playing in the occasional match.

Each to there own mate .In my option Bernard has a lot of attributes to play number 10 good with both feet .can pick a pass out to play a forward or winger in on goal .can draw fouls against him in dangerous positions due to quick feet . Great first touch let's hope his goal yesterday give him the confidence to kick on cos I think we have a player in him

Hes older by 6months, he also played in a World Cup last summer.

Be interesting to see where Silva sees him fitting in if he does come back into the squad. On the left? On the right? As a number 10 in a 4-2-3-1 or in the middle three of a 4-3-3?

That is of course, if he is actually going to come back into the squad. It all could just be gamesmanship to try and get him a move. Perhaps to see if CSKA blink if they think they don't hold all of the cards? I mean he was told to train away from the squad with a load of no-future-at-the-club deadwood last summer.
