Relax guys cutting it up against crap Eastern Europe teams is his level and tonight hasn't changed that
Nah he's obviously got that Champions League quality after one match against one of the weakest teams in the competition.

It'll be the same folk nominating him the new messiah as the ones who think Lookman is better than Messi after a few games in Germany.

Show me where it says this anywhere in this thread.

You're seeing things that aren't there mate.

You'd think fans would be pleased if our young players are doing well on loan.

HE WAS CRAP, TELL ME ONE GOOD GAME/15 MINS HE HAD LAST SEASON IN THE PREM

BTW, I really liked him when we played him in Europe but he was dross last season, hence going out on loan.
He was one of the only bright spots in Koeman’s second season until he got sacked, Unsworth came in and gave him about 15 minutes worth of football

I think most are mate and are sensible about the fact that they`ve been sent out on loan for a reason.

But you then get the tinfoil hat mob, that start banging on about the fact that they should never have been sent out on loan and are the answer to all our problems.

Its all irreverent really, we still own him, its win, win, he does well we have decision to make on whether he can do it with us or we turn a healthy profit. we have to get our heads around the model the football club are trying to implement.

Its like Chelsea, we are player farming to turn either into top players or use as assets to bring in revenue to eventually sell on and make money on our initial investment.

Arsenal at home. He was the only player to play well. Tottenham at home he came on and looked sharp from the bench. Brighton away he was arguably the only one of our mob who came close to playing well.

Bare in mind all of these displays were in a disfunctioning team, and Koeman was soon sacked. He was settling into a new league but was showing promising signs both domestically and in Europe.

Unsworth, for whatever reason, binned him off. He came on against Newcastle I think under Sam and played well, yet then again was in and out of the side until one random start against United at home.

He wasn't crap.

I don't think he was either crap or good.

He came in, played and didn't really do much of note, didn't look out of his depth, didn't shine either. Hardly surprising as he was a 19 year old coming from a different country.

He is on loan as we are well covered in his position right now and he wouldn't have got much game time. I'm ok with that. People seem to assume that being loaned out spells instant doom for a player.

Not necessarily here but the Everton Subreddit is touching themselves silly over him right now.

I am pleased he's playing well. We might make a profit on him when he leaves next summer.

If he'd posted that in the Lookman thread I would have said fair do's. But there's been no posts of that nature in this thread mate. I haven't seen one post that said he shouldn't have gone out on loan, not even from our Croatian friends who post in here.

See above. Don't go on Reddit so just going by what's been posted on here mate, and it's all been pretty reasonable so far.

I agree that there were a lot of people on the Lookman and Dowell threads last season arguing that they shouldn't have gone on loan. Whilst I didn't agree with them, you can understand their point of view given that we were having to put up with the likes of Bolasie week in week out.

As regards Vlasic, it seems like you've made your mind up already on him. Personally I hope he does prove himself good enough for us and the same with Onyekuru. We still have so much rebuilding to do and a limited budget to do it with.

I'd like to see him stick around next season and see if he can make an impact but he seems another one like Lookman who thinks they deserve to be playing every week regardless of his form and it doesn't seem he has enjoyed his time here.

Are you reading the same thread as me?. Looked back over the last 4 pages and a post from me is probably the most positive thing in here. And all I'm saying is that he showed better form when played down the middle in a couple of games under Koeman, so am not surprised he's doing well there now for CSKA.

I haven't seen one OTT comment about him. Not one person saying anything to even imply he is the new "Lookman" or "saviour" of the club. Or one poster, never mind a "group of posters" saying that we should have kept him etc, as you suggest.

A few people are saying that it's good to see him doing well on loan, and if he keeps it up he could come back into the squad next season along with one or two of our other loan players, and potentially save us a few mill in the transfer market. But there are just as many posters reminding us that he is playing at a lower standard so not to get carried away.

To be honest it was based on comment on another group, all saying how they wanted him to stay and similar now that he has had one good game, very similar to the Lookman shouts last season.

You may be right. Certainly my attitude towards Lookman has changed a bit since the summer.

I don't know how much of a disruptive influence Vlasic is. Certainly his family were quite noisy and that can be a pain in the arse. But you need to remember that Vlasic, as a 19 yo, was on the verge of the Croatian squad at the time he joined us. His career has literally stood still for a year, so you can understand why it was important for him to be at a club where he was going to be played this season. Silva couldn't guarantee him playing time so he asked for a loan move. I'd rather have that attitude in one of our players than somebody who is quite prepared to sit around picking up a wad of cash for not playing.
