Non-Everton English clubs that don't annoy you

Definitely Arsenal under Wenger for me, and before that Newcastle under Keegan. Still like Arsenal to be honest, because of their philosophy - not that they don't spend much, but at least they're trying to have a long-term approach. Still only the 3rd manager after Wenger, and they 'allowed' Arteta to finish 8th , albeit with an FA Cup.

Apart from them I liked that brief period of time that Norwich had success under Mike Walker...and I would admire Brighton if it wasn't that I wish we would start to copy their approach.

Lived in a pub there in the 80s as a kid. On reflection my upbringing was bonkers. Saw so much violence in my PJs as a 4 year old
Army pubs. The squaddies hate civvies and any other squaddies from other regiments. Aldershot is an absolute no go after 7.00pm on weekends.

Bristol Rovers. Back in the late 80s I was doing the '92 Club' (did my last ground in 1990), and I adopted Rovers as my team to follow as much as I could, going in the away end at their games. Initially it was just because I liked the kit, and also the team in blue stuck with their smug, bigger neighbours in red sort of thing. Over time I got more and more enamoured with the whole club, team and fans, to the point where I ended up going to grounds I'd already done when they were playing there (Oldham, Blackpool and Huddersfield spring to mind) when they were in a promotion push. 'And now you're gonna believe us, The Gas are going up!!' - great times! :D

When we moved to Bristol, Dad wanted us to watch Rovers, the blue. But in those days, Ashton Gate was a piece of cake to get to, Eastville was a PITA, esp on a Saturday. So City is was. It turned out ok though. They had a decent team back then, and got into Div 1 a couple of years after we moved, so Dad and I could actually see Everton play. Then City signed Joe Royle, so circles were squared.

Used to go with mates to watch Rovers at Eastville, then they chipped off to Bath, so that was that. I am sure @Alan Whittle watched them at Twerton.

They'd left Eastville by the time I saw them, so it was Twerton I went to for their 'home game'

I had a bizarre experience watching Rovers at Northampton (the old cricket ground). I was early so I killed some time in a record shop. I was talking to the owner at length about the football, and when a couple of Northampton fans came in he pointed me out, saying 'this guy is a Bristol Rovers fan', which was weird considering I had a season ticket at Goodison!

I still have the Rovers scarf which I got at the time. That came in perfectly handy one time when Rovers beat Liverpool in a cup game, and I promptly went into work wearing the scarf the next day and draped it over my desk... :D

Third Lanark

I don't even know whereabouts in Scotland they are or what division they're in but what a name.

Bizarrely more to do with mental neighbours I think. My clearest memory from then was waking up to the sound of a dog being stamped to death by it's owner. The following night (following police report) was released dog killer smashing out Datsun car windows with a baseball bat. Dunno how I would respond now to my son having to witness that.

Yes, a few times. Once, was with my lads and got very excited to see Steve Coppell and former Palace chairman Ron Noades there. An ITK steward told me they were there to watch Marcus Stewart who went on to hav a blinder. Two weeks later we signed his strike partner Gareth Taylor who turned out to be completely useless.lol
Been to City a few times as well though @roydo including the famous Bakayoko Everton FA Cup game. His two late goals turned the car park into a medieval battle scene after the game.
