Non League Football

Chorley 0-0 Marine

Unlucky not to win, against a side sat in play off spots, glorious day for a bit of footie, backed by 150 travelling away fans.

Just a great community, a great club. Roll on next season.

Just a small matter of a huge battle to win the league now and playoffs now.

Of the 3, Brackley have the easiest run in, so it's all to play for.

Another 0 0 draw for Halesowen yesterday, dropped to 4th now, need to pick up some wins as don't want to fall out of play off places.

Had your chances too. Followed closely knowing the two promoted will he joining us.

Desperately didn't want Bedford, but alas, it seems it's happening. Everyone dropped points recently, including yourselves. I hope you make it.

So not home and away then just a one off

Yeah, as far as I'm aware, the semi will be the Sunday after the season concludes, then the final will be played on Bank Holiday Monday.

If the season ended today, Halesowen would travel to Telford, and then should they win the semi, they'd either host Stamford or travel to Kettering. That game against Telford on Easter Mondsy could be huge.

Big Day in Non League as the race for promotion really heats up.

Thought id draw everyone's attention to Lower Breck today. Situated extremely close to Anfield, they have their final game of the season today, away to Cheadle Town. Lower Breck currently have 103pts, yet barring a royal cock up by Bury (who have sold 7,000 tickets against Burscough), they'll finish runners up and face the very well supported West Didsbury & Chorlton on Tuesday night.

Some going by them.

Marine penultimate home game for Neil Young today, against relegated Warrington Town.

Southport, who were heavily linked to Duncan Ferguson this week (there's nothing in it, but may well be another ex-Blue) face Chester with 1,100 tickets sold by the away side, could easily be more away fans than home there.

Promotion heats up there.

Top of League Scunthorpe travel to King's Lynn, Kidderminster travel to Relegated Rushall Olympic and Brackley host a banana peel in Oxford City.

Prescot Cables firmly safe, in the NPL.

Bootle can surely close door on relegation fears if they avoid defeat to Wythenshawe Town who occupy the last relegation spot, a win confirms safety, a draw would leave them 6 clear with 2 to go.

Vauxhall in 3rd travel to Stalybridge In 5th. Lots more Non-League over the weekend.

Today's amusing one for the Pyramid, is Merthyr Town travel to Sholing in Portsmouth, in the Southern League knowing 5 points from their last 3 will clinch promotion to the National League North, to face South Shields, Darlington and Spennymoor.
