I moved house in November, and since then, I’ve been following my local Isthmian League side home and away. It’s been brilliant. I still have the sense of anticipation and excitement building up to each match, all of the match day rituals, etc, but none of the BS that comes with PL football. It’s generally played honestly and with 100% commitment, and it’s a great community online and in person. Been to a few new places too. If you have a local club and you’re not able to get to Goodison/BMD, it’s a great way to get your regular footie fix and to feel part of something.
