Non League Football

I moved house in November, and since then, I’ve been following my local Isthmian League side home and away. It’s been brilliant. I still have the sense of anticipation and excitement building up to each match, all of the match day rituals, etc, but none of the BS that comes with PL football. It’s generally played honestly and with 100% commitment, and it’s a great community online and in person. Been to a few new places too. If you have a local club and you’re not able to get to Goodison/BMD, it’s a great way to get your regular footie fix and to feel part of something. 👍🏻

That Dave Hilton stuff was a surreal time, went from white knight after Peter Swann, to the devil himself in no time.

Apparently it does look like the 'deal agreed in principle' page on fc100000 has been taken down, so maybe a good sign. Sponsors are pushing back, hopefully the money talks.

Good luck to Marine for the remainder, I feel we owe you 2 points after that penalty...

Ah if we'd have been scrambling round, I'd have held it against you, but we've been on our own good run... should be safe come those time next week.

Sides around you can't seem to win, so surely second time lucky for The Iron this season.

If you can take Chester with you, id be elated.

Thanks, I wish I shared your optimism. We've been left wanting on more than one ocassion this season when given the opportunity to open up a lead, and Kidderminster are looking ominous. I think their momentum and having the experience of Phil Brown at the helm might be what gets them the top spot. Still, an exciting run-in.

Fingers crossed, but I hope we're not playing you next season!

Me too.

Of all the "big clubs", Scunthorpe treat the away fans the best. I just despise the no ale in your seat, etc.

But Scunthorpe should be far higher than what they are, so only fair they do whatever they can fo return to FL.I believe Marines time will come.

But give me your Alfreton's, Market Needham's, over your Hereford's, hopefully @Littlesue 's Halesowen next season.!

Llay vs Prestatyn today. There’s about 20 here. More players on the park.

Almost came to this today, mind.

Disappointing result for Widnes yesterday losing 1-0 at home to Witton Albion, but were given a reprieve by Hednesford losing 1-0 at home to Trafford. Vauxhall won to cut the lead to 6 points, but the task remains a simple one for Widnes. 3 wins from the last 5 games and the title is ours.

Great last minute winner for my team yesterday in atrocious conditions… both teams above us dropped points too, we are now 1 point behind second place and have a game in hand. We got 3 home games left this season and on the last day we play away at the team currently just above us in the table… could be a cracking end to the season
