Well that area is all Palace country. First visit. Welling played them a couple of times in minor cup games but I never bothered going. Decent ground.

Huge loss.
Not been a great preseason for us either. Offered him more, wouldn’t break the wage structure, added to the fact he’s from Manchester, being offered full time role, I can’t blame him.
Gutted though, I know how much he loved Marine, but right at the bottom money talks, and I cannot blame anyone for taking the money

It was the Met (under Cressida Dick) that started to refuse time off for matches. I agree, might build some bridges with the community but would need to be more of a city based club than out in leafy Surrey.

Metropolitan Police 5 Horsham 1. Entertaining game. The worst PA announcer I have ever heard. He was so slow and uncertain he sounded like he was giving a statement in a fit up trial. Also, not yet August and the Horsham manager had fume of the season, keeping the whole squad on the pitch for a full time bollocking.
Last time I watched New Mills they were getting thumped by Prescot Cables. I think it was the season they went on that 26 defeat run. Mad to see as they'd been very decent at that level before then.
There's some (relatively) big sides at that level in the Northwest Counties now. Even outside the Premier.
