Non League Football

In terms of the NPLW, For the 4 sides occupied in the playoffs, all getting 3 points absolutely massive.

Linnets 3-2 Widnes, the win means Linnets secure their playoff spot. Commiserations @MikeH72; go again next season, along side Wythenshawe who were promoted to the NPLW.

Bootle 3-0 Hanley - believe a point away to Hednesford next week should get them in the playoffs. The caveat is that a win could also see them go as high as second and get playoff advantage.

Cables 2-0 Stalybridge. Disappointing season signed off for Celtic, but huge, huge win for Cables and their playoff spot confirmed.

Nantwich Town 1-2 City of Widnes/Liverpool FC - Probably the result of the group; huge win, meaning like Bootle, a draw will confirm the playoffs next week.

Commiserations @Lob; but hugely competitive league next season excited to see how it develops.

Meanwhile... in the NPL proper, 4 forst half goals (and a missed penalty) were enough for Marine to comfortably dispatch of already relegated Atherton. Infront of just shy of 1,600 fans.

An added sweetener is that Worksop scored a 90th minute winner to consign Rylands to their first away loss of the season (last team to do so in the top 9 leagues!) Which means with one week to go, Marine are now 3rd, which means a win against Ashton United away or matching Rylands result at home to Ilkeston will see Marine take home advantage in the Semi Final.

What a load of rubbish. Seen it before but it's not like they were ground sharing or whatever. 🙄
True, but a lease is not a licence. A licence can be revoked without notice, a lease is for a fixed term, subject to reasonable covenants being met by both parties. As far as EFL requirements go, a licence was worthless and the Local Council are being very dissengenuous.

Council at fault but surely some leeway could be found?
