Non League Football

Congratulations to Marine, Prescot & City of Widnes on making their respective finals.

Marine win 1-0 against Rylands who are basically stoke of non league a huge win. Marine travel to Macclesfield on Bank Holiday Monday.

Prescot beat Bootle 1-0 in extra time and will now host City of Lpool on Saturday after they won, 2-0 away to runcorn Linnets, a result I don't think will come as a surprise to any non league follower.

Congrats to all and a huge cap in feather to all local sides with 3 huge attendances.

I’m torn. I can’t bare Purps and don’t want to see them have success, but I love the away day at Cables so would rather have them in the league next season than have to travel to… Widnes. So in that case, up the Purps on Saturday.

Also well done Marine, hope you smash Macc and make Robbie Savage cry.

No one likes the Purps; their big issue is they think they're unique and they're not.

Prescot have a good little fanbase and it's great on the train, so they're mh vote, however the run the purps have been on, I'd have them to be favourites.

Does anyone know, and correct me if I’m wrong, how is it decided which of the three playoff winners are promoted ?. There are 4 promotion slots into the NPL Premier, 3 league winners West, Midlands and East , who gets the 4th promotion ?

It's regionalised basically; sides from
The NPLW more or less end up in the NPL. So Leek could end up in southern, but more than likely in NPL, With Purps/Prescot 100% in it.

Some NPLE end up in the Southerm, but certainly won't be Hebburn. Stockton or Dunston will be in the NPL.

So basically leaves sides in NPL potential to transfer, which could be Basford.

Telford/Mickleover could also move over as Banbury, Bishop Stortford & Gloucester have been relegated and won't go into THE P
NPL.

If you're confused, I'm not surprised, it's a right mess.

Hebburn
Leek
Cables/Purps
Stockton/Dunston

Will join the league

Telford/Mickleover/Coalville may also transfer from Southern League

Cheers, I’d forgotten about sides moving sideways and up . I looked at the trains to Macclesfield on the way home from Cables but I can’t really justify it and I don’t want to give Macc any money, good luck 🤞.

Huge congratulations to Prescot Cables who triumphed in the Northern Premier League - West final against City Of Liverpool today, infront of a 2,050 attendance.

Purps had man sent off in first half for reckless challenge and struggle to get into game after that.

Meanwhile, Bury won't be joining the purps after they lost on penalties to Wythenshawe Town 3-2.

A 3rd season in counties for Bury awaits!
