Non League Football

Didn’t go to plan and Marine dropped points at home for the first time this season, losing 3-0 to Bootle who were well supported, and fully deserved the win.

Proud moment though, with 2,125 in attendance, the first league sell out in Marines history, magical.

Good luck to Bootle for the rest of the reason.

Revisited Hyde United today, they got beat 4-1 by Mickleover , might go to Lower Breck on Monday if I’m bored and ‘er indoors is still testing positive on her 7th day

Much improved Cables(compared to earlier in season) v Marine today, the mariners stole it right at the death, great real ale bar at cables,997 in attendance. The only consolation to everton getting moved for TV is that I can go and watch games like this.

First time to Cables yesterday.

Great fans, and even though we were woeful, great to get the three points.

Good luck for the rest of the season!

Seems weird to think of Meadow Lane as a non league ground and that despite going to games since 1966 I’ve managed to never go there until today..
Notts. County v Eastleigh in the FA Trophy. Foggy here.
I had to look up when I went , 17/3/92 , I was working in Coventry at the time .
First FA Vase game for me today, Whitchurch Alport v Congleton Town, Whitchurch won 2-1 they’ve not been further than the 2nd round before. I gave my Norwich ticket to my son who’s at Nottingham Uni. it wasn’t as far to go for him
