Non League Football

Jersey Bulls top of the Combined Counties League table, level on points but much better goal difference, a sold out last home game of the season for this afternoon, late last night announced they had been docked 3 points and fined £120 for fielding a suspended player 😬😳

This pushed us down to third and most likely will have to settle for a playoff place. Gonna make it a strange atmosphere for a sold out game 😂

Outside of Step 1 & 2, levels typically play Saturday & Monday over Easter.

Widnes, led the league for 186-days, but relinquished that yesterday when Hednesford went top... for the first time this season. Widnes gone back top today, with a 0-0 against Nantwich.
They travel to 4th place Vauxhall on Monday, knowing 3 points are massive.

The soon to be extinct (it rumours are to be believed) City of Liverpool fielded 0 subs, in their 2-0 loss to Clitheroe.

Will do the Southern League now.

Decisive day at the top of the NPL West today. If Widnes beat Vauxhall Motors and Hednesford lose to Stafford, Widnes will be crowned champions. Any other outcome and it’s going to the final day of the season. I’m absolutely buzzing for it, never would’ve thought we’d be taking the title race to the final day at the start of the season. Even though we should’ve really had a more comfortable buffer at this point, I’m just buzzing to be involved in it. I’m on the pitch if we do the unthinkable. Come on you Wooly Whites ⚪⚫

Widnes need 1 POINT from the final game at home to Trafford to be crowned champions. A magnificent 3-1 win at Vauxhall today coupled with Hednesford’s 1-1 draw at Stafford leaves us with one hand on the NPL West title. Best game of football I’ve been to in years, honestly felt like a little kid again today. Pure joy, elation and limbs. Non league.

3-0 win for Prescot Cables v FC United of Manchester, who lost a man on 20 minutes, cementing a top half finish for Cables after promotion last year. I’d have taken staying up after the upheaval in pre-season so it’s a great achievement, shout out to the visiting fans who contributed to a season high attendance (I think) of 1332 and were good company in The Sun Inn before the game.
