This is what happens when you dont add to the smallest squad in the league. We have been crying out to drop players underperforming, we have a whole month to add to it, and we take in a fourth choice right back. What is the response? Well Barry Horne was "staggered" that people would criticise Bill. We will always struggle with such apathy bordering on cronyism. Such a shame because Arse and Spurs are nothing special.

We all know the board's faults but everyone is too happy to blame the board for Moyes' failings.

The board can't make substitutions to influence games, the board can't make a decision to rest some of our players when they're looking tired, the board can't help Jelavic find his form, This is all down to the manager!!

We have got players in our squad who can easily do a job in the premier league who don't get a look in, we just look so stale an bereft of ideas on how to break teams down.

THIS is all it comes down to. Seriously, people slating moyes...he's not the one didn't even try and mark Kamara for their equaliser, or failed to miss easy opportunities.

There's no WAY any team can get 4th with a squad of 11 players. Thought we looked knackered today and that is because we just don't have the squad to compete. Until that changes, we'll always be a nearly team

I would love to hear a reporter ask Moyes in the post match interview why he insists on playing Naismith.Moyes answers will go down in history. Just that simple question Davy WHY ? Not forgeting the sub goal keeper could play better on the right

Players in the Chelsea, Arsenal, United and Spurs teams play every week and play more games than we do and don't look tired.

Tiredness is a poor excuse.

Don't agree - it's a cumulative thing, for years we have achieved more than we ought to given the size and quality of the squad - it's catching up with us, and I don't believe Moyes is immune from this effect either.

Perhaps he's tired too, or just doesn't have it in him to get the continued out-performance we have come to expect.

Meanwhile the Board will continue to do nothing.

Everton manager David Moyes: "We should have won the game. We were 1-0 up and in control and we let them get back into it and then they scored after the three minutes of injury time [that was scheduled to be played]. But we didn't do enough to get that second goal."

We can hope, but our responses to losses have so far been unimpressive.

Sorry but the Manager let us down no positive subs used - he stands there like a golfish mouth gaping the other managers send on diferent players & he just not responf - taking Jelly off was mind boggling I thought the obvious sub was KM for th tired Naihsmith!

No point in the league now, we're too far behind. Let's have a go at the FA Cup.

We've still got a great chance to win it, we're too far behind now, even Europa League through the League looks tricky.
It all comes down to those away games against Spurs and Arsenal, we'd have to put in some incredible performances to beat them and then of course the yearly loss at Anfield.

I've not given up hope for the league yet but that 2nd half performance showed that there has to be huge changes.
Defence was shocking, our ability to shut down players on the wing is nothing short of pathetic at times, why they can't defend corners at the end of games is beyond me.
I agree that bringing Jelavic at the time may of been a good idea but he is very good at heading balls away defensively.
No shape in the 2nd half what so ever.
Coleman was fantastic though, really proud of the lad.

Oh well, hopefully Tuesday can make us happy again... but this Everton we're talking about.

100% spot on.

This club is run by the keystone cops.

Absolutely. Hitz should be playing in front of Nais, but what they really needed was a couple midfielders. All the other stuff was luxurious, but the truth is they need midfield depth, and loans would have been fine. We knew our push for 4th was over when we didn't bring in anyone, and now it's confirmed unless we just starting absolutely destroying teams, including those above our weight class.

Totally agree Naismith was totally ineffective for the whole of the game never went forward once, I was screaming at the screen to take him off but no Moyes takes better players off and leaves the poorest player on the park on the pitch.

The substitution of Jelavic was absolute nonsense, he gives a lot more to the defence in set pieces than Mirallas ffs Moist.

But yet again, same old...

Now, at least I can give up hoping for Champions League football...
