this is my first post and can I just say we were bad today, so fed up with dominating games and ending up with nothing. Moyes doesn't want to commit ha wish he would just 'move along nicely' in non swearing terms!!

The names blue cheese nice to meet you all x

Went to the game today. Myself and 2500 or whatever other Everton fans turned up. Pity the same can't be said about half the team.
One thing that really bugged me (not for the first time) was how poor our corners and general crosses were - apart from Baines for the goal. Pienaar in particular. They scored their first from a corner played to around the edge of the six yard box. As did Oldham for their second last week. As did Jags for his goal last week. As did Fellaini for his second against Villa. Anyone spot a trend here?

After 75 minutes I would have been disappointed with a draw. To end up with nothing was disgraceful. And it was freezing. And I left my warm jacket at home. And I took a thin one instead. And the guy in the car park gave me £3 in change instead of £4. And I didn't notice until we left the car park. And someone robbed my pint when I went for a slash. And my mate didn't notice.
All in all a typical day as an Everton fan. Roll on Tuesday.

Where have all the optimists gone posting on this thread before the kick off?
Just like to hear your views on why today was going to be different from the rest of February.

That was a poor poor Norwich team out there. Low on form and confidence, but had enough to score two past us in the last 10 minutes.

Not too many players come off with any credit today. We did that thing where we look comfortable, without ever troubling the keeper.
The linesman was busier having to give offsides.

Lads, learn how to take a corner please.

Still don't understand why he took a striker off with 10 minutes remaining while we were chasing a 2nd.

His negative tactics aren't going to get us anywhere.

We better batter Oldham on Tuesday to repay the fans, utter disgrace today.

guys look at the bright side....42pts should be enough to avoid relegation.....ffs moyes.....fuming here.....Coleman was amazing though....

IMO .. the responsibility for this loss rests firmly with Moyes (again)

1. Jagielka it not skipper material, I think making him skipper distracts him and seemingly gives him license to play hoof ball all day.

2. The substitutions were terrible and too late. Pienaar was having a decent enough game and starting to busy himself and then gets pulled off. Thought Jelavic was also having a decent enough game too. Mirallas should have started or been brought on a lot sooner and the players that should have been hauled off were Naismith and possibly Osman (who did nothing apart from the goal and looks back to his lightweight worst).

3. Naismith is gash .. simple. May be a lovely bloke, nice to have him around the dressing room etc. .. let him brew up and peel the oranges, don't tell him that he can play, that's just cruel.

4. Another option may have been to bring Oveido or Stones in at RB and push Seamus up, he looked interested, dangerous .. just a shame he was having to start his attacking work from so far back.

It has been mentioned many times on this forum that Moyes lacks tactical nouse. Granted he his minimum resources to play with but it's no different now than it was at the beginning of the season.

It's time for a change.

Very disappointing. They were there for the taking. I just can't get my head around why we play Naismith. Even at the game not one fan had anything decent to say about him. I'm sorry but he simply isn't good enough to wear the royal blue jersey, not even as a sub never mind for a full 90 minutes.

Gibson was poor IMO - seems to be catching the Naismith's incompetency bug.

On a positive, glad to see Seamus back, thought he had a really good game on the whole.

I am angry but embarrassing the club, **** me. He is the reason why we are so angry with this result. Before him I would have expected it, the only thing is embarrassing is people not truly realising what Moyes has done at this club.

This is very true, but now we are where we are, people's expectation levels are raised. However, there are some things that don't help us:

*Jelavic losing his finishing touch has proved pivotal; how many would be saying 'Moyes out' if he'd been finishing like last season?

*Referees (especially that knob Mason) letting defenders cuddle our players at corners and free kicks. We should have had a penalty on Fellaini yesterday and an even more blatant one on Jags at Oldham had the defender not been so intent on stopping him jumping he missed the fact that the ball was arrowing right onto his head where he stood!

*The inability to get players in during the January window to give the usual injection for a second-half-of-the-season push.

But the late and negative substitutions, and refusal to play the likes of Oviedo when Pienaar is so out of form can't be overlooked either. I, like everyone else, would hate to see a return to the dark pre-Moyes days but I have a feeling this is his last season here. Either it'll be no top six finish and no trophy (and "I've done as much as I can here.") or sign-off with the FA Cup and leave having won something at last.

Whatever, as long as the finances at the club remain as they are, I fear for our future without Davy, I really do.
