Understand what you’re saying about Beto but DCL played last week and missed 2 chances that are meant to be his bread butter. Chances that would have put us in front when we were on top in the first half.

There are no guarantees that another striker scores that Beto chance. We’ve also all seen DCL miss nailed on goals for most of his career.

I meant that Dom is clearly superior in the build-up play, winning headers, holding possession to bring the wingers in, just generally being a target for everyone. Part of the reason the entire attacking unit looked so crap for most of the game today was that Beto was giving them absolutely nothing to work with.

McNeil came within a whisker of a brace and commanded his side of the pitch, he could be MOTM, but Garner ran the show today. Even in our good spells of form we’ve lacked that kind of presence. It would be huge for us if he could grow in that role.

I want Young never to play for us again but have to admit that he was good today, as were his mates in the back four.

With Brennan Johnson gone and Awoyini out, Forest are not a good side. Glad we got out of there with the three points.

Thought Doucoure was poor today to be honest. He got himself into some great positions but his final pass was awful.

Garner was enormous, and easily the man of the match. You can keep yer Declan Rice! A full international of the future. We've got to keep him fit and hopefully keep hold of him...

Went for Myko probably because I thought he was going to get run ragged but, I thought he did great against a tricky player. I can see the shouts for Garner, he was excellent. I thought we were by far the better team and were unlucky to not make it a comfortable 3-0 win.
Can't wait to be over there for the holidays.
