Exactly this. Notts is short for Nottinghamshire i.e. the name of the county, hence Notts County.
Nottingham Forest are named after Nottingham the city rather than the county.
(should have called themselves Nottingham City to prevent confusion)

Our away form is diabolical. It is amongst the worst of all the teams of all the major leagues of Europe and has been for years.

Really can't see us getting a point out of this one.

For me the big game this month is Brentford at home. Lose today AND lose against Brentford at home and we will really be in a difficult situation in terms of staying up.

All I want from Notts Forest is the 3 points.... such a big game in the context of this season and what is to come for the rest of the season...

I cant shake the feeling that after all the years of mismanagement it has got us to this stage where we are going, then Mosh and Kenwright will head off leaving us to cobble any semblance of a club back together. As someone said earlier, written in the stars....

I know it is still close down there and I hope I`m wrong..... cant think of anything worse than watching this team in the Championship with half filled away grounds.

The 'Forest' is in reference to the clubs first ground The Forest Recreation Ground, The ground is based in what would have been Sherwood Forest in medieval times, and has hosted sport for the past 300 years.
