I was a member of this chatroom even before the "tiff" with Toffeeweb and also BK. I liked it a lot in those days.
Being in a different timezone, I found it hard to have a conversation on this one as there were very few people on line the same time as me, so i started using kipper again. All the kipper BS never bothered me though, as soon as a thread degenerates into the usual crap (usually about 3-4 posts nowadays) I just start reading a different topic. And when people give me the verbal, I just ignore it. No point having a war of words with someone 12,000 miles away.
I have always thought of site as the one where you can have a decent conversation, it's just too quiet

kippers are so easy to spot though, like i said 2 posts in and they start to criticise everything and change everything to bk out and kirkby, kirkby, they are usually jumped on by everyone to prevent the site becoming just another angry seething pit of hate, with bullying tactics and all the other stuff that has gone on, dont forget also that g.o.t. members look on the other forums too and as people often keep the same usernames then abusive ones are usually jumped on before they get a chance to start.

nothing like a bit indiscrimnate generalisation, eh? i see where you're coming from, but not all of those who post(ed) on bk entirely fit the stereotype - some of us are actually quite nice, whether we agree with you or not. btw, i notice you've posted this comment twice in this thread & wondered why you were so keen to vilify "kippers" - were they nasty to you?
 
TBH ive been on kipper for a fair few years and for me its all about the crack i have on there..

Lets be honist you can post stuff on there you couldnt post anywhere else (nothing dodgy just BS) and get a few laughs
 
I was on kipper for years I really enjoyed it some of the funniest threads i've ever read were on there. I never let the gobshites bother me much I just moved on to the next thread. it did get full of idiots towards the end though

thats funny i can only find it once, unless someone removed it ? was a mistake if i did post it twice.
i think you'll find by reading all of my comments about kippers that i am not vilifying them at all, and in fact am welcoming the ones who aren't here to cause the kind of grief that went on there (tbh i stopped looking on there when i found this place).
in answer to your question of were they nasty to me the answer is no, 'cos if your on here to take the slash out of people and have a laugh then you have to expect some back in your direction as well so if they had been nasty then it would've been ducks back and water to me, besides they arent exactly gonna come bash my door down are they.
i reckon gilbert seems to be here for the fun and not the sniping and has pushed dylans button immediately, i imagine he probably used to wind up quite a few on the fishy site as well.

i meant you'd made much the same point in two separate posts in the same thread (posts 6 & 30, if i recall accurately) & just wondered if you'd had a bad experience on there as some people do seem to end up getting hounded off eventually, which in itself is a sad comment re bk. sorry, if it came across as saying you'd double-posted.
as regards the door bashing, i'm sure there's a few on there who would if they could - it's always rather comical when somebody takes their cyber-warrior persona a little too seriously & tries to arrange an actual meeting to fight somebody who'd probably turn out to be another spotty teenager!
